    Home sweet home

I've noticed something interesting this summer. First, it never rains in California..... and second, it always rains in Florida. Yes, I am finally back in O-town! I actually had a blast doing literature evangelism in California but I am terribly glad it's over. California is nice, but Florida..... is well..... let's just say vastly superior (no offense to my beloved Californian friends, but you know the truth deep down inside ). Oh, back to the rain; it's actually due to the disappointment of a tropical storm called Fay. Rain is nice and all, but I really love severe weather! It should be over by the time I start school on Monday though. I'm back to community college (never thought that would happen) for just one semester. After that It's still looking like Union College. I'm going to be taking a 12 hour-a-week Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course along with Intro to Psychology and a scuba diving class(!!!). It'll be a pretty interesting semester, so please keep me in your prayers. Hmmm.... I guess that's all I have to say right now.... Ohhhhh wait, wait!!! I am definitely, positively, almost certainly going to GYC San Jose over winter break!!! I'm also going to be in California between now and then in Palm Springs at an Adventist doctor's convention (AMEN) in October. I love California!!!..... sort of..... Ok, now that's it.... Peace you guys!!

  • CaliLE!

Or in other words--California literature evangelism! Yes, I never imagined I would be in California wasting spending 10 weeks walking around in 110 degree heat and trying to convince people they need books. What a great thing to do..... actually... it is! I am now halfway done with my summer and have actually enjoyed my experience so far. It has been a huge blessing to be able to be used by God to get "silent messengers" into people's homes. It is also amazing that I am playing a small part in the great work of bringing the coming of Jesus closer! I can't wait! And as I read the news I am convinced that is closer than ever (read anything about the economy? gas prices?) (since when do they have to advertise for the FDIC?!? in Time magazine). Anyways, colporteuring is a great experience although keep me in your prayers because it definitely isn't the easiest job ever. FYI I was in Bakersfield, CA for the first half and am going to be going to Santa Maria for the second half (is it just me or does "Santa Maria Seventh-day Adventist Church" sound funny?). If you're wondering, no, I will not be at ASI unfortunately even though it is not far from my house; I will still be here in California. However, I will be at the SoCal (is that how you spell it?) campmeeting @ Monterey Bay Academy in 2 weeks. As for next year, I will probably be spending yet another semester at Valencia community college in O-town  to get EMT licensing and will probably go to Union College second semester and join the Kadester in the International Rescue and Relief program there. There you have it... congratulations to those who managed to read all my ramblings. If anyone's out there, I'd love to hear from you! God bless!

    Survivor!!!

Thursday... April 24, 2008. I have officially completed my freshman year of college. Amazingly, college (at least community college) was far easier than I had expected. It wasn't necessarily enjoyable, however, and I can't wait to get back into a good Adventist school. Anyways, bring on the summer!!!! I will be at OHA grad and I will be at ASI. In between... I'll probably keep working at Office Depot. Afterwards.... is still up in the air although Southern and Union are still options if they could accept me this late. Still rather unsure as I really really hate making big decisions. Please pray for me. Well, I can't wait to see any of you who still read my very infrequent blog. God bless!

    A really good things

Yes, that title is intentional. I really, really don't plan on being an english teacher or major or anything having anything to do with english. (If you're wondering why, it has to do with Comp. teachers... you get the idea; just plain weird) A really big things have happened since my last post. Let's try some sort of chronological order. First, I (or rather my parents) made the decision to give me a 19 hour class load this semester. Let me warn you: "Do not try this at home!!!" I'll might be glad I did it 3 years from now, but I really don't think so. A&P and College Algebra do not mix well. Needless to say, as of right now, I am passing all my classes-- I do not know how; especially when I walk around like this most of the day= . (still don't know what to do w/ my life though)
Asides from school and my 20-hour a week job at OD, A really good things have managed to sneak their way into my life. Things like:

Believe it or not, my very first car!!!! .... A beautiful, '99 Honda Civic with alloy wheels, HID headlights (i hope), a spoiler, and a great gas-saving 4-cylinder engine! (P.S.- I have no idea why this is a link and I don't want it here)

    Pretty nice engine eh?

And a pretty nice interior... It's beautiful!!

Alright, after my car, there was this really really really awesome thing in the frozen wastelands of the north called GYC. It was awesome seeing so many of you! Despite it's nasty location this year, I did survive and utterly enjoyed it. Can not wait until next year!
Let's see... then was new year and my birthday which were rather uneventful other than making me feel older.
Most recently, I got to vote for the first time ever in my life! And the great part was that the man I voted for won! Go John McCain!!!!!!!
Lastly, I have to comment on the biggest event of the year: SUPER BOWL XVII. Greatest one ever!!!! I have racked up at least 2 good events to tell my grandkids about: 9/11 (of course) and when the Giants pulled off the greatest upset in history, beating the undefeated Patriots 17-14; The most thrilling Super Bowl I have ever seen! I was happy.

Well, that's about all, folks. My life continues.... and I love it! Hope you all have a great day or evening. Keep looking up and keep your eyes on Jesus! I'm enjoying life but I can't wait 'till heaven! God bless you all!

P.S. sorry about the grammar, it really bugs me too.

    The Question(s).....

There are some questions that need to be answered about my happenings and future happenings.
The first obvious one is "How's college been?" Well...... hmmm..... not too bad actually. College (at least the community college sort) makes oha look pretty easy hard, or at the least OHA makes college seem easier than it would have seemed otherwise. My only problem has been--not surprisingly--Algebra!! not good at all. I'd prefer not to say what I got on the first two tests but let's just say, well.... at least it was better than most of the rest of the class! Naturally, a "W" is better than an "F" any day though so I dropped the class and am now taking only 15 hours a week! Sort of as a disclaimer though, the teacher wasn't that great. Someone once asked him, "Is it possible to pass your class?" the answer was "Possible, but not probable!". So there you see. Other than Algebra, everything else is good and I am enjoying college although missing OHA.
The second question would be: "What else have you been up to?" Well, not too much. I have been enjoying the beautiful wonderful Florida weather (sunny, about 80 with 40% humidity) and work at Office Depot about 20 hours a week. We have done at least one exciting thing though......(and pics explain it best)

    The Kennedy Space Center!!!!

The Space Center's newest attraction! A simulator that puts you through the exact same experience that the astronauts get during the shuttle launch. It was awesome!

Me and my...uhhhh.... space family chillin' on mars! Notice how white I am due to lack of oxygen, I will soon pass out and die and i don't think my space family really cares. How unfortunate

    Aiming at the sky....

The soil down here in Florida is absolutely amazing!! Look what they grow down here!
    It's called the "Rocket Garden"

Man, I thought I was tall! Look at that rocket, it's huge! and that's one of the smaller ones!

        Ok that's it, last question...
"What are your plans?" Hmmmmm...... good one. Well, I'll probably be going back to community college next semester (It's cheap!) and after that, I still really don't know. I'll probably go to Southern or maybe Union or (if caleb has his way) become a Swedish bodybuilder (LOL,  riiiiight!). We'll see, pray for me 'cause God knows, I just wish I did too. In the more near future I am DEFINITELY GOING TO GYC!!!! And if anyone wants to be my roommate I need 3 so get back to me on that. (soon)

Well, God bless everyone! I'm missing you all and I'd love to hear from you! Peace-out!
